HPDE - Learn The Limits |
Track days are a great way to learn the handling characteristics of your Porsche. Experiencing a car's limits car also makes you more prepared for emergency situations and evasive maneuvers on the street. NASA (The National Auto Sports Association) conducts High Performance Driving Events (HPDE) you can take in your Porsche with no special safety equipment besides a helmet. They're not timed, and are classified as a driving school, so it's no hassle for your insurance. Plus, it's fun to drive on a track! NASA has HPDE dates almost every weekend in October, so check out their website at www.nasaproracing.com for dates, tracks, and costs. Look up HPDE / Open Track - it's less expensive than you'd think. |

What caused this wear? |
 |
The cause of the center wear pattern in the tire above is actually UNDERINFLATION. With today's stiff, low profile tires, what used to look like over inflation with a center wear pattern is now caused by inadequate inflation. The center of the tire stretches, and wears across the middle.
