Above: The results of negative camber on tire wear. You may find you like the driving characteristics of a fair amount of camber in the front of your Porsche, and may be willing to trade off a little uneven wear for more grip. Time For Alignment?

A slightly off-center steering wheel is a good indicator it's time for an alignment

In plain English, wheel alignment refers to suspension adjustments that keep the wheels and tires pointed straight ahead, and the car tracking straight down the road. If you've hit a pothole or a bump hard, it's possible to knock those settings out of adjustment or even bend suspension pieces. Driving with a wheel that's 1/8th of an inch out is equivalent to dragging the tire sideways for 28 feet for every mile.

It's also possible to enhance the cornering ability of the car by changing settings, or run a conservative setup that maximizes tire life and fuel economy. Toe settings, camber, caster and other adjustments affect the feel and handling of your Porsche. Heyer Performance will determine the settings based on your input, and the way you drive. Talk to Tony about checking and setting up your alignment today.

Porsche GT1 Racing Revival?

Porsche could have their sights set on a return to GT1 competition, after watching Corvette and Aston Martin rule the category in recent seasons. The Porsche motorsport department's plan involves a mid-engine design, and

styling cues taken directly from the Carrera GT. It seems likely that an updated version of the 5.8-liter V10 from the GT will find it's way into the racer with a twin-clutch gearbox. No formal announcements have been made.
