Heyer Performance is moving to a brand-new complex just on the other side of Old Middlefield Way in Mountain View. The new facility (near the corner of Old Middlefield Way and Independence Road at 2362 Old Middlefield) is part of the Twin Palms Automotive Center, so named in honor of the marquis palm trees standing on either side of the property.
The new and larger location is in the same block as Heyer Performance's current shop but on the opposite side of the street. After long negotiations

with the new building's owners and unforeseen delays, the larger shop is at last nearing completion.
Heyer Performance's target for opening business in the new location is 1 September 2004. The new facility will

offer more usable space, a comfortable customer area, an all-new building, and additional parking with higher security. It should also be even easier to find: "Those palm trees out front are pretty hard to miss," Tony says.

Heyer and Barbour
at ALMS Infineon

In recent years Tony Heyer has worked with longtime friend Dick Barbour on Barbour's ALMS championship-winning Porsche GT3R and LMP675 racing teams. This season he'll be helping out again with the two-car Krohn/Barbour Lamborghini Murcielago effort in the GTS class.

The GTS segment has been owned by the factory-backed Corvette C5Rs since the departure of last year's Prodrive-prepared Ferraris. Barbour's proven ability to compete and win in ALMS means the Lamborghini effort is likely to bring competition back to the popular class.
At Infineon Raceway on 18 July, the #6 Krohn/Maxwell Lambo finished a remarkable second in GTS despite the program's early state of development. More from Tony later.
